Andover

The images above show a new patio area, retained using an oak sleeper wall built in a garden with a fairly steep bank, so the project required the removal of 15 tonnes of soil to create a level area for the paving. The sleeper wall was then constructed to include a wide yet shallow step up off the patio on to the garden for easy access (the client has a young grandson). The choice of paving here is again natural sandstone in a set of pastel hues to compliment the oak timbers used. The patio is deceptively large at 4 x 4 metres to accommodate a large table with eight seats for when the clients extended family are over.
